6th Asia Pacific Primary Care Research Conference in conjunction with Family Medicine Symposium is organised by College of Family Physicians Singapore (CFPS) and SingHealth Duke-NUS Family Medicine Academic Clinical Programme (FM ACP). It will be held from 21st to 23rd September 2017 at the Academia (located in SGH Campus).
This is the first time that CFPS, FM ACP and other institutions from the public and private sectors come together to organise this event.
The theme of the Conference – Advancing Best Care through Education and Research emphasises the importance of education and research in supporting and advancing the development of Family Medicine, and importantly, to bringing about better patient care across the continuum of care. Achieving positive health outcomes and efficient healthcare system can be as easy as ABC!
The Conference this year focuses not only on research and education in primary healthcare; it provides clinical updates to equip all Family Physicians with the latest clinical development and practices. The Conference is an excellent platform for networking and learning opportunities, as primary healthcare researchers and other healthcare professionals from Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Australia and other neighbouring countries come together.
Eminent academics and experts from the three Singapore Medical Schools and Family Medicine departments from regional universities will be invited to be the speakers at the Conference. The keynote speakers include Professor Eric Andrew Finkelstein (Duke-NUS Medical School), Professor Julian Thumboo (SingHealth Health Services Research Centre), Professor Lim Shih Hui (SingHealth), Professor Helen Elizabeth Smith (Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine, Nanyang Technological University), Dr Dujeepa D. Samarasekera (National University of Singapore) and Professor Cindy L.K. Lam (The University of Hong Kong).
